 RULES: 

Ø      Normal tennis rules apply.

Ø      No players who are involved in the Follow-up program or plays tennis at the conventional level will be eligible to participate.

Ø      All schools will be required to fill out an entry form on arrival.

Ø      Boys and girls will compete separately.

Ø      Matches will be the best of 13 points. The pair that reaches seven points first wins the match.

Ø      Matches will be played on a round robin basis and then a knockout where necessary depending on the amount of schools competing.

Ø      No player will be allowed to play in school uniforms.

Ø      All matches will be doubles only.

Ø      Each school will be allowed to field two doubles teams, boys and girls.

Ø      A toss will decide server/side/opponents options.

Ø      A player will be allowed two servers for each point and will serve for only two points then the serve goes to the other side. When serving, the player will stand behind alternate halves of the court, starting from the right half of the court. The server will serve over the net to the side diagonally opposite, before the receiver returns it. The serve will alternate to the other player when the  serves comes back to their side.

Ø      One point will be awarded for each team victory.

Ø      Servers can serve both underhand(must not bounce the  ball then hit to serve) or overhead.

Ø      Receivers must allow the ball to bounce when returning serves and must let the  ball bounce when going out.

Ø      Should scores be tied after the round robin stage, the schools that scores the most points during this stage will be declared the winner

Ø      In submitting an entry to this tournament, a school/player automatically undertakes to commit themselves to abide by, and bound by the above rules and regulations.

Ø      All matches will be officiated by a tournament referee.

Ø      The committee/coordinator reserves the right to amend/ repeal/ or otherwise modify/ in whole/ or in part the above Rules & Regulations.
